Serafino Zani's products have always been the fruit of a happy union of artisan mastery and design of the highest quality
Serafino Zani, a company established in Lumezzane in one of the valleys at the foothills of the Alps north of Brescia where iron and steel have always been worked, has manufactured items for the kitchen and table since 1963.
Its profound knowledge of steel working, together with innovative manufacturing techniques, distinguishes this company's work. And not only: Serafino Zani's products have always been the fruit of a happy union of artisan mastery and design of the highest quality.
In this sense, the collaboration and assistance of masters such as Tapio Wirkkala, F.A. Porsche, Andries Van Onck and Ettore Sottsass have been essential. Moreover, since 1999 the company has focused on the in-depth study of materials by manufacturing objects for the home and furnishings made of pewter, wood, porcelain, stone and glass: "ancient" materials, linked with the story of mankind since the mist of time, and now reinterpreted by internationally renowned designers.
The Metallia project was the first stage of this journey. A second important step in this direction was meeting with Marutomi, a Japanese company that produces design objects using traditional Japanese lacquer work.
